CONCIERGE LACTATION SUPPORT TAILORED TO YOUR BREASTFEEDING GOALS
Cygnus Lactation Services is founded on the premise that educating families on why babies behave as they do, and how the biology of breastfeeding works, provides the best foundation for long-term breastfeeding success.
Launched in 2002 by Jeanne Cygnus, IBCLC, Cygnus Lactation Services was established to serve the community in a centralized location to help meet the needs of breastfeeding families outside of a hospital setting.
In 2009 Jeanne Cygnus, also formed LactCorp Solutions to help provide excellent, research-based lactation information and products to employees of companies across the United States, including Guam and Puerto Rico. In 2018, these companies were combined to form Cygnus Lactation Services, LLC
Jeanne’s vision of lactation support comes from a mixture of her own breastfeeding journey, her love of both biology and anthropology, and her lifelong interest in babies and their innate skills and behaviors. Jeanne experienced being a single mom and homeschooling while starting these businesses, and has served as a mentor to many up-and-coming IBCLCs. She has become certified in Perinatal Mental Health, and continues to focus her studies on infant behaviors and family health & dynamics, as well as breastfeeding specific skills.
All of us at Cygnus Lactation Services believe in providing personalized, evidence-based care. We are here for you.
Jeanne has been helping breastfeeding families for over 20 years, and still learns from each family she works with. Her primary interest is in the clash between our culture and our biology, and how this can present obstacles in the parenting journey. She's committed to helping each family along their path based upon their goals.
Jeanne is also has a Perinatal Mental Health Certified. (Currently only accepting clients for Perinatal Mood Disorder Screening/ assessments)
